Official passport photo sizes by country, for printed photos and online applications.

Passport photos follow the ICAO standard for face size and position, but the frame size and the digital rules vary by country: 35 x 45 mm in much of Europe and Asia, 2 x 2 inch in the US, 50 x 70 mm for Canada, and exact pixel sizes for online renewals such as the UK and Finland.

Common rejection reasons: shadows on the face or background, a head outside the allowed size range, an image below the minimum pixel size after cropping, edits or filters that change your appearance, and a background colour the country does not accept.
